Carletta is a 3L/MBA at Northern Illinois University College of Law. She received her B.S. in Human Resource Management with Honors from Park University. Prior to law school, Carletta served in the United States Air Force.
Having always had a passion for academia, Carletta published a book during her 1L year to assist first generation students become accepted into law school and thrive while there. During her 1L Summer, she participated in the Association of Corporate Counsel (Chicago Chapter) Diversity Program where she was a in house law clerk for Vi Senior Living. Currently, she is a law clerk at Smith Amundsen LLC in the Labor and Employment Group and serves as the Vice President of the Student Bar Association at NIU College of Law.
Carletta joined MJLP to change the narrative and provide a safe space for scholars to write about topics that not only plague their communities but encourage thought provoking dialogue.
