National Black Law Students Association
Who Are We?
The Magnetic Midwest Region of the National Black Law Students Association ("MWBLSA") is a duly registered regional administrative jurisdiction under the National Black Law Students Association ("NBLSA"). NBLSA was founded in 1968 with the mission to increase the number of culturally responsible Black and minority attorneys who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. The purpose of MWBLSA is to articulate and promote the educational, professional, political, and social needs and goals of Black law students in the Midwest.
MWBLSA comprises chapters in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. With our region spanning 14 states, comprising 43 law student chapters and 6 pre-law chapters, and with over 1,400 student members, we are the largest region in NBLSA.
